Mother Arrested After Iowa Toddler found Drunk
An Iowa mother was arrested last week after her toddler was found to be legally drunk.
The 22-month-old from Iowa City was taken to the hospital Feb. 15 after its father realized the child could not stay balanced.
Doctors said the child had been given alcohol and had a blood alcohol level of .09.
The mother was taken into custody but she was also drunk and could not explain how the child received the alcohol.
She is being held on a $15,000 bond and will appear in court later this month.
